Here’s my storyfication of the annoyances of modern life — Friday edition:
Since my wallet vanished (lost? stolen? or maybe it just ran off with my sanity), I’ve become a ghost in the bureaucratic machine. Bank? Locked out. Medical services? Locked out. My life? Slowly rebuilding, one humiliating form at a time.
The bank lets me do a “special in-person appointment,” meaning I get to bring ancient bank statements and confess all my secrets while being interrogated like a spy. Appointment booked… in the mysterious future. Could be next week, could be next century—who knows?
Health card? Olympic-level madness. Online? Closed. In-person months away? Blocks all critical appointments in November and December. The desperate option? Old passport + snail mail. Without snail mail? I’m toast, invisible, flailing, screaming “I EXIST!” at walls that do not care.
💥 PS: To my e-bill friends — ohhhh, you’re toast if the same happens. I’ve almost been seduced by e-bills, those digital temptresses whispering “convenience” while plotting your bureaucratic doom. Stay strong… stay VERY strong.
