Save A Jew

St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner—a day when people celebrate Irish heritage by drinking so much they forget where Ireland is. I went out to mark the occasion, though my mind was on other things. Namely, whether anyone was keeping track of Trump’s latest shopping list. He’s publicly said he wants Panama, Greenland, Canada, and Mexico. Most people treat it like the ramblings of a man who thinks the Louisiana Purchase was a checkout option on Amazon.

I figured Panama was already in the bag, bought out like a Vegas casino. Turns out, not quite. The country’s still pretending to be independent while BlackRock quietly buys up both entrances to the Panama Canal. They don’t own the canal, but once they control the gates, they can charge whatever they want to let ships through. It’s the geopolitical equivalent of Airbnb: technically, they don’t own the house, but they decide who gets to sleep there.

If an AI summarized it, it’d say: Trump’s conquests may not be fought with guns, but Panama’s sovereignty now rests in the hands of BlackRock, which is about to start charging tolls like a medieval bridge troll in a suit.

I told Harley. He didn’t believe it. He checked multiple sources, reread the same articles, and still refused to accept it. When I mentioned Trump had quietly stripped some married women of their voting rights, he didn’t even bother looking it up. It’s always interesting watching someone go from “That can’t be true” to “Well, it doesn’t affect me” in record time.

At the pub, I brought up Panama with the staff. The only response was, “All I can say is, I’m so glad Trudeau is gone. He can take his bloody chair.” Good to know national collapse is fine as long as someone they don’t like also gets evicted.

Yesterday, I made an offer: asylum in my home for a few Americans I suspect will soon be on the "Oops, They Vanished" list. People who don’t realize they’ve already got a bullet with their name on it, just waiting for the paperwork to catch up.

So far, there’s been only one confirmed secret kidnapping this month. But when a government disappears people, "confirmed" is a strong word. No records, no announcements. Just a family realizing their loved one isn’t answering their phone and the only explanation is “maybe they didn’t renew their existence on time.”

We know it’s started. We don’t know when it ends. But rest assured, a lot of people will be gone before it does.
